SITR 2025 - THE NO. 1 REGATTA IN STOCKHOLM

The Stockholm International Team Race Regatta, the biggest event of the year for Gamla Stans Yacht Sällskap (GSYS), will take place between the 22nd and 25th of May, in the beautiful capital of Scandinavia - Stockholm, close to the Royal Palace.

 

The popular J/80 regatta this year attracts teams from the New York Yacht Club, the Royal Thames Yacht Club, the Annapolis Yacht Club, the Newport Harbour Club, and GSYS.

 

The regatta is a testament to the fantastic sailing opportunities that Stockholm, the capital of Scandinavia, offers, along with its unique social experiences.

 
This year we will sail the regatta outside the town hall at Riddarfjärden. The same sailing arena as the coming world championship 2026 in Stockholm! Racing in the middle of the capital of Scandinavia - Stockholm, in fresh waters and walking distance to all of Stockholm during leisure time.

GSYS has once again successfully hosted the Stockholm International Team Regatta (SITR), welcoming a fantastic group of sailors from around the world.

Unique sailing the heart of the capital of Scandinavia.

Dear sailors,

The scene is set for a great regatta in Stockholm in 2025. As a warm-up for the World Championship in Team Racing 2026 in Stockholm, we have moved the racing area even more central, just outside the town hall in Stockholm, the capital of Scandinavia.

 

This year, 7 teams will participate: The New York Yacht Club, The Annapolis Yacht Club, The Newport Harbour Yacht Club, The Royal Thames Yacht Club, and, of course, the host GSYS with two teams.

 

As always, we will have a great social program in line with the regatta activities.
