Royal Thames Yacht Club, RTYC, founded 1775. The club is the oldest continuously operating Yacht Club in the world as well as being the oldest Royal Yacht Club.  The members participate in a wide range of racing and cruising events in home waters and worldwide.

Royal Yacht Squadron, RYS, founded on 1 June 1815. The Club started organizing racing as a principal feature of the annual regatta, which is now known as Cowes Week. Today the Royal Yacht Squadron remains one of the most preeminent Yacht Clubs in the world after nearly 200 years. The club’s patron is Queen Elizabeth II and the club’s Admiral is Prince Philip. 

Royal Swedish Yacht Club , KSSS, founded in Stockholm 1830. KSSS became Sweden’s second non-profit association, and is the third oldest Yacht Club in the world. The club is the biggest Yacht Club in Sweden with 5 500 members. The clubs patron is H M King Carl XVI Gustaf.

The New York Yacht Club, NYYC, founded  July 30, 1844.  1851 the club  won the Royal Yacht Squadron's "Hundred Guinea Cup", later called the America's Cup in honour of the yacht that won it. The NYYC defended that trophy from 1870-1983. This has been described by journalists as "the longest winning streak in sports."

Yacht Club Costa Smeralda , YCCS,  founded on 12th May 1967. The sporting events organized by the Club and the victories won by members flying the Club's burgee have helped to establish the YCCS' position at the forefront of international yachting.

Gamla Stans Yacht Sällskap,GSYS , founded in 2000. Jan Stenbeck decided  to challenge for the America's Cup under the name Victory Challenge. In order to get the best talent in Sweden and other Nordic countries independent of other larger and more prestigious yacht club, GSYS was formed.
